Morning at Ice Lake

The 38 degree chill penetrated me to the core as soon as I climbed out of our dew covered tent. I was immediately wide awake.

It was 6 am and day three of our yellowstone trip. A magical mist hung over the mirror smooth Ice Lake. The pure silence created what felt like infinite space and serenity. Just then, a few rays shined through to trees from the east and began to pour golden light over the lake.

My beautiful partner woke from her slumber to enjoy the moment with me. She even graciously agreed to pose for a photo.
