Winter In The Foothills

Cold air. Inhale, exhale. Cold air pushing against your face. Uncomfortable. Cold air crawling into the edges of your clothes. Left foot right foot. Keep moving. Little white flakes, softly fluttering around. Focus on the breath, visualize your body motion. Cold air, fighting to breath. Keep moving.

50 minutes later, a little easier. Look around. Beautiful white hills. Little white specks sprinkled in front of a huge canvas. The backdrop, a valley of not too distant buildings and a city of trees. A nostalgia of childhood wonder warms your veins. Feels magical. Winter has come to Boise.
